Dr. Abbas Qutab

Dr. Abbas Qutab is the founder of Élan Vital Medical Centers and Spa located in Boston and Worcester, Massachusetts. Since they first opened in 1989, these clinics and spa have been the choice of many thousands of people around the world seeking complementary and alternative medicine treatments.

Dr. Qutab holds degrees in medicine, oriental medicine and chiropractic, and has a Ph.D. in ayurvedic medicine. He is one of very few physicians in the U.S. who has been awarded an honorary Sc.D. from the World Health Organization Charted University for his work in promoting alternative medicine.

Dr. Qutab travels extensively and has taught thousands of physicians in the U.S. and Europe on how to integrate alternative medicine into their practices. He is a sought-after speaker for conferences and health expositions throughout the world. His speaking engagements include the World Health Organization Congress on Complementary Medicine, and lectures at numerous hospitals, such as the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital and UMASS Memorial Hospital.

Co-author of several books on ayurvedic medicine and his latest book "Nitric Oxide, The Molecule of Life" has been translated into several languages. Dr. Qutab is also board certified in naturopathic medicine. He has received several leadership awards for promoting complementary medicine. Dr. Qutab is on the advisory board of the Congressional Health Care Reforms Committee in Washington, D.C. and is currently its honorary chairman for Massachusetts.

In 2003 he received the "Physician of the Year" award for his active role in the NRCC of the National Health Care and Medicare Reforms Committee.

Dr. Karen Way

Dr. Way is a chiropractic physician and classical homeopath, and an associate director of Élan Vítal Medical Centers and Spas. She holds a Ph.D. in Alternative Medicine and advanced certifications in homeopathic medicine, and training in several international medical spa therapies and traditional Ayurvedic spa treatments. Board-certified in Forensic Medicine, Dr. Way is a fellow of the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture and founding member of the National Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics.

Dr. Mozam Qutab

Dr. Mozam Qutab is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor, currently licensed as a Naturopath in several states. He is the Chief Administrator and in charge of the Nutritional Pharmacy at Élan Vítal Medical Centers and Spas.

Dr. Lalit Savla

Dr. Savla is a practicing physician, board-certified in Neurology and Psychiatry and also trained in Internal Medicine. Dr. Savla is an expert in Disability Evaluation ; his practice utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic tests including Carotid Duplex, Electro-encephalography, Trans-cranial Doppler studies, and Electromyography. He is licensed in Massachusetts and has been in practice for over 10 years.

René O'Keefe

René O'Keefe has been the operations and human resource manager at Elan Vital for over a decade. She is skilled in customer relations and has advanced training in business management. Ms. O'Keefe is currently involved in developing the operations manual for our medical spa training program.
